Hi I’m Aaron Reynolds and this is one of my blogs.

I’m an experienced UK-based web and and application developer plus I’ve been working in the IT industry in technical jobs for about 10 years.

In the past I have worked in companies where I had development , IT administration and technical support duties.  Nowadays I rarely configure Servers or fix PCs but the knowledge is still there.

Last year I set up Enjoy Online Ltd, which is a Manchester-based web design and development company.  Together with my partner Emma we’ve been quietly building up a good portfolio of work.

On a daily basis I’ll find myself working on Linux and Windows-based servers whether it be through control panels, RDP or getting down-and dirty in bash through SSH.  I don’t pretend to be an expert on any IT subject because there is always more to learn but when I come across something useful or something that I think is cool, I’ll add it to my blog if I get the chance.

Of course most of my days now are spent coding in C# or PHP, using MS-SQL or MySQL and occasionally Flash and JavaScript.  That’s why most of my posts will be in relation to work I’ve been doing in C# or PHP or 3rd party tools and scripts that I’ve found useful or needed to integrate.

The 1st generation of this Blog used a .NET-based blog engine that I wrote.  The 2nd generation used BlogEngine.NET.

I’ve now shifted to using WordPress because the Windows-based hosts I had were unreliable.  Now that’s nothing to do with Windows being unreliable, just the company’s that hosted the website.

Some of my C# code was previously shown in working examples on the blog – since I’m now running on a Linux server and don’t use Mono, these examples will have to be available via download only for now.

Thanks for reading and I hope you find something useful here.
